The "Dealing Room"

Our market moving event calendar will show you all the scheduled economic releases that we think will have an impact on the market today. We show you what the market is expecting (the forecast), what the prior number was (the previous), and we release the current data in real-time (the actual) If the data is better than forecast it will appear in green and if worse it will appear red.

By hovering the mouse over the "i" you can get a snap shot of the data that is due out including an indication as to how the markets will view a number that is better or worse than the forecast.

Market Moving News

We monitor every major newswire and talk to our wide variety of city contacts throughout the day to bring you the news that is driving the market right now.

In the Market Moving News box we bring you a market commentary that saves you from having to sift through countless news items looking for what is actually driving the market direction.

If our analysts think the real time news will be viewed as positive by the markets it will appear in green, if they feel it is negative it will appear red.

Markets re-act instantly to breaking news events so it is important to note the time of our releases.

Markets and Trading

This spread betting platform is provided by Gnutrade Ltd. If you open a spread betting account through this site you will be entering into an agreement with Gnutrade who will be your counterparty in all spread bets.

Here you can trade up to 16 markets with limited risk

Unlike many other spread betting companies Gnutrade offer a guaranteed stop loss function as standard which limits the amount of money you are risking to the deposit you have made. Gnutrade also have lower minimum bet sizes than most other spread betting providers (£0.10,$0.10 or EUR0.10) so you can feel the emotions of trading real money with minimal risk.

The markets on offer are listed on the left hand side of the window To open a position you simply click BUY or SELL.

When you click BUY or SELL a window will open showing the price that you can trade at.

You can adjust the Trade Amount using the toggles on the side. The stop Price is the price that if hit will close your trade automatically for a loss. The stop Price can also be adjusted by using the toggles on the side. When you adjust the "Stop Price" you will notice that the Max Loss/Margin field will Change automatically – This is where you will see the total amount of money you are risking on each trade.

Once you are happy to Risk that amount of money you click the "confirm" button.

My Positions

By clicking the "My Positions" tab you will see a list of your open trades. By clicking "close" you will close the bet at the current price. Knowing when to take your profits is one of the hardest parts of spread betting!

How to make a deposit

In the "dealing Area" simply click the "Cashier" tab and follow the instructions to fund your account.

Once you deposit money in your real money trading account, the new balance will be automatically updated and can be seen on the bottom left of the window under "Cash Balance".

NEWS

Our news box takes feeds from several newswires which can be selected by right clicking on the feed selector. This will present you with a list of sources (BBC, Reuters, CNBC etc ). Clicking on a news article will launch a separate browser window (Popup must be allowed).
